Emily Sclar is a Boston Based indie-folk artist, originally from Freeport, Maine. She began her music career at just five years old, picking up the violin but it wasn’t until she discovered Lindsey Stirling that she fell in love with the instrument. Emily jumps in head first when it comes blending a wide variety of styles breaking the presumed boundaries of a classical instrument. She can capture an audience with her stage presence long before a single note is played. Emily has a deep mind to body connection to the music that she brings to the stage. Her performances are often described as “transformitive” as to witness it, is to be a part of it. Audience members are pulled to connect with themselves somatically and emotionally.
